Alumni Relations Committee
Are you looking for a way to stay connected to your alma mater? A great way to stay involved at SJB is to join our new Alumni Relations Committee. This is an opportunity to volunteer your time and talents to help support the school and the alumni. Through the creation of activities and parties, you can help instill a feeling of loyalty and dedication in our 16,000 alumni.
Parent Alumni Committee
We have an active Parent Alumni Committee, for all of our graduates, who have children that are currently enrolled at St. John the Baptist. Did you know that we have over 100 parents that are alumni? Help us plan some fun events for you and your children!
Reunion Committee
Do you have a reunion coming up this year? If you are celebrating your 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40 year reunion this year, we need your help to plan a successful and fun filled party for you and your classmates. We ask that you consider volunteering your time by joining a Reunion Committee.
SJB Eternal Flame of Service
Over 80 students from the Class of 2011 and the Class of 2012 have made a personal commitment to continuing service in their lives. The students who have signed this SJB Eternal Flame of Service Pledge promised to make service their life-long commitment. We recognize and commend them and invite all alumni to consider making a commitment to service as a response to Jesus' commandment to "love one another as I have loved you.”
Service Pledge
As a graduate of St. John the Baptist DHS, I pledge to use my education to respond to the neediest members of our society. In doing this, I am making a commitment to serve and to find ways to stop poverty and to work for justice. I promise to find ways to continue to serve.
Tell us about your Community Service Work
Do you help to make the world a better place by volunteering to do service in your local community? We want to hear your stories! We want to recognize our thousands of alumni who do volunteer work.
Have you been involved in serving in your local community? Have you started a service group at your job? Do you have a special cause that means a lot to you personally? Tell us about how the spirit of St. John the Baptist lives on in you, and we will feature your story in our next Family Newsletter. Send us in your photos also! Send an email to cortes@sjbdhs.org today!
Serving others opens our eyes and our heart. When serving others, we are reminded of our common humanity and our enormous capacity to love.
